Is Andrés Torres just on a hot streak or is his production going to continue? The team i care most about is in a 20 team mixed league and have a few OF banged up (Austin Jackson,Jason Heyward,Nick Swisher) so need a guy for maybe a week or so but i could keep him around longer if he is productive. Also when is Pablo Sandoval going to start being productive again? He had a good start went into a short slump has started hitting the ball again but no HR or rbi’s just bat avg and R when do you think the panda will come out of hibernation?

    Eric-
Torres is a solid NL only option, but not a mixed leaguer long term. If DeRosa does in fact return next week, PT will be tough for Torres. Even if he doesn’t, the club could move Huff to LF, with Rowand in CF leaving Torres to battle bowker/schierholtz for PT. Doesn’t seem like a great setup long term. He should be fine for this week though.

Sandoval will return. Like I’ve said everywhere I talk about him – his approach at the plate is terrible. He swings at everything, and his balance this year has been awful (he keeps leaking out over his front foot). He’ll have months where he hits .350 and others where he hits .220 – its simply because of his approach.
