Turn $60 into $20,000
August 9th, 2011 | by Ray Flowers |
Do you play the lottery looking to win millions? Sure you can take that route to buying your first Corvette, but it’s all random luck whether you win or not – you have no control whatsoever. How would you feel if I told you about a way you could win money, make a killing actually, while playing fantasy sports?
Over at Draftstreet.com, a college aged kid who goes by the handle of “Hixvillehunk” deposited $60 into his account and started playing the nightly challenge (more about the rules of the game below). This is where it gets interesting. Hixvillehunk has turned that $60 bucks into how much money? You say $600? Not even close. It can’t be $6,000 can it? Your still miles off. What about $16,000 – the fella made $16,000? Nope. Hixvillehunk turned a measly $60 into more than $20,000 while playing daily fantasy games at Draftstreet.com.
What is Draftstreet.com and how in the hell do you get in on this?
Draftstreet.com allows you to play a daily fantasy sports game. You don’t have to worry about the 162 game grind of the regular season. If your fantasy baseball team just isn’t getting it done this year, this is the way for you to reclaim your lost mojo. Draftstreet.com allows you to play a daily game. You put a team together each day and give it a shot. If that squad doesn’t win, you simply pick another one the next day (it’s a salary cap game so you always have the option of having your favorite players on your squad).
For those of you out there who also like football, basketball and hockey, you can play daily games for all of those sports as well over at Draftstreet.com when their seasons are underway.
Before you run over there though, here’s something you gotsta know (thanks for letting me steal that Kay Adams).
When you sign up at Draftstreet.com make sure you enter the code: GUYS25.
Why is that important? The reason is when you enter that code, GUYS25, they will give you $25 dollars to spend in the game. That’s right, you will get $25, free, to try your hand in the game after you deposit some money to get started.
So let’s review…
Some yahoo turned $60 into more than $20,000.
All you need to do to get into the fun is to sign up at Draftstreet.com, enter the code GUYS25, and then they’ll give you $25 dollars to play the game.
You then put together a squad of players of your choosing for the one day game, and your off.
Good luck all.

Ray:
Sadly, I haven’t been able to listen to you guys in a while due to my work schedule changing, but I’m doing my best to stay in touch!
I’ve been offered a trade in one of my leagues. I’m currently in last place, and I’m looking to get some good keepers for next year. Here’s the trade and in parentheses is the round that I will be keeping them in next year’s draft.
I get:
J. Garcia (12th round keeper)
A. Bastardo (next year’s ADP keeper)
I give up:
M. Young (6th round keeper)
F. Salas (next year’s ADP keeper)
He definitely wants a 2B (and I’m guessing some more saves). Should I make this deal, or am I giving up too much?

Jason – Well I hope you can hear us at our new times Jason: M-W 7-10 PM EDT, Friday 9-12 PM EDT, Sunday 8-11 PM EDT.
Young at 6th round next year isn’t great value, but he’s still a hell of a hitter. I’m not the hugest Garcia fan, though 12th is solid.
Salas = no lock to close next year, but he’s looked great this year. Bastardo has been fantastic, but his chances of closing next year are about a third of that of Salas, if not lower.
Give me Young and Salas.
