(2) Hanley Ramirez has shoulder surgery.
(3) Joe Mauer done for the year. Is Justin Morneau to follow?

Ray, have you heard anything about Vance Worley moving to the pen once the Phillies clinch? I read something to that effect, but I’m not sure its true. I have to decide whether to start him in the finals. Obviously, if he’s not starting then I sit him. Thanks!

I am down to the final day of my season. I have been in first place all year (largely thanks to your advice) and now the championships rests on picking up two pitchers for Sunday. (It’s a standard, head to head league.) I’m looking for all categories but strikeouts is the most important. Here are my choices:
Bruce Chen vs. White Sox
Dillon Gee vs. Braves
Esmil Rogers vs. Giants
Carl Pavano vs. Indians
Alfredo Simon vs. Angels (and Weaver)
Brad Lincoln vs. Dodgers
Tim Wakefield vs. Rays
I know how much you hate selecting pitchers for one day… but I’m interested in your selection. I have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated your help all season. Thanks

JCallaway – If I understand things correctly, Worley will continue to take his regular turn in the rotation for the rest of the season. Once the playoffs start, he’ll then be sent to the bullpen.

Nick-
Sorry I got to this so late. I’m slammed all morning doing Twitter work for SiriusXM starting at 7 AM.
By the time I got to this, the only SP still going is Lincoln. Again, my apologies. Wish I would have gotten the question before 8 PM on Saturday night (I was out).
Good luck.
