Brett Jackson or Bryce Harper? Who will be called up first?

    Thanks

  2. By Ray Flowers on Apr 8, 2012

Nick – ? I’d say Harper over Jackson for first call up.

    Standard 12 tm 5×5 H2h.

Dump one of the followling to make room for Ricky Nolasco; Loney, Huff or Figgins.

Would be for a bench spot.

    Standard 12 team roto

Andrus Cargo and Clippard for Hamilton Ibanez Rodney and Papelbon. Which side do you prefer?

    Thanks.

  5. By Ray Flowers on Apr 9, 2012

Icehole – Loney is nothing more than a corner infield option in a 12 team league. I’d let him go and keep Huff since Aubrey brings you the ability to play OF and 1B.

Nick – Rodney stinks. No chance, well hardly any, that he becomes a 9th inning fixture. Ibanez is junk. He might go .250-20-75, but that doesn’t excite me at all.

Really, this is a volume deal. The side with four players has two guys I have no interest in at all> Hamilton has elite talent, but given that he’s not likely to play more than 130 games, I’d prefer the side with Andrus, CarGo and Clippard.

    Keeper league can keep forever.

    12 team H2H 30 man rosters

R HR RBI SB AVG OBP SLG TB

    Give Heyward, Receive Castro (Starlin)

    My other keepers Hosmer/Tulo/Lawrie/Braun/McCutchen/Upton/Harper

And Heyward but Castro would replace him.

Who would you rather have Heyward or Castro

  8. By Ray Flowers on Apr 9, 2012

James – At this point if you can add Castro for Heyward, I think you have to do it. I still think Heyward is going to rebound and be fine, but given the continual growth we’ve seen from Castro, and the fact that he plays shortstop, I’d rather have him on my keeper squad at the moment. I see you have Tulo, but I’m going to assume that your league uses middle infielders so you will be fine.

We do use Middle Infield. Will do the deal. Thanks

Ray: in my 6×6 h2h league, I’ve been offered Kung Fu Panda and either Rickie Weeks or Goldschmidt for Bautista. Panda has both 1B and 3B eligibility. I’m leaning towards it. Should I do either, both or neither?

Panda and Weeks have 1 year keeper elig< bautista has none.

    Ray,
Been offered rodney or chris Perez plus 10.00 free agent bid money
for Johnny venters. Down a closer with Storen out.

10 team points mixed h2h league.

I also picked up Peralta and Hector santiago. Could use the 10.00
    give back.

    Ritch

    Joel – R. Weeks/Sandoval for Bautista

Key here is health of Weeks. If he plays 140 games, you win this deal. If he plays 100 games as he often does, you lose. However, tossing in that you can keep Weeks and Sandoval for a year while this is it for Bautista, I think that tips things in favor of you accepting the deal.

Ritch – Rodney can’t hold on to the closers job. He walks too many guys, command is just spotty as all get out. Getting Perez and $10 for Venters is a deal I’d do.

Ray, was curious how you would rank billingsly compared to d.holland ?, in a 8 by 8 league, with IP, W, L, SV, K, BB, ERA, WHIP being the categories, thanks

  15. By Ray Flowers on Apr 10, 2012

Derek – I had the duo ranked very close in my draft guide – I had Holland ahead of Billingsley in the rankings, but I had both listed at $6. With the couple extra categories here I’d still have Holland ahead.
