Ray – Would you deal R.Zimmerman/Kimbrel for Jose Bautista?

My remaining RP is thin. Reed,Cashner,Pestano,Ogando,Walden

    Thanks homie!

first Child? Damn Jimmy wated longer than me to have #1 I was 38!
    Quick trade question Ray,
I was offered Pujoles for Hosmer and Matt Moore, non-Keeper, 7×7 league Hits instead of OPS? I have plenty of pitching and instead of dropping Moore, I can at least get a guy who hgas never finished below #13

Hey Ray, I am thinking about offering Jason Heyward, Kevin Youkilis and Mat Latos for Albert Pujols. Is this a good deal or too much?

    Craig D – R.Zimmerman/Kimbrel for Jose Bautista?

Wow, that RP is thin for you, at least for saves (you do have good arms).

Zimmerman just cant get on track, but he should still be effective. Do the deal since you only have once guy who is currently a closer in the unproven Reed.

Jeremy - Jason Heyward, Kevin Youkilis and Mat Latos for Albert Pujols

Shouldn’t take that much to get Pujols. If it does, you’re liking giving too much.

    Polka – I still don’t have a kid… I’m waiting too!

was offered Pujols for Hosmer and Matt Moore, non-Keeper

Moore/Hosmer great in keeper lgs. In re-draft, both really struggling.
Still, that’s a ton of talent to give up. I’d keep duo. Spreading your odds of getting a “hit.” Wouldn’t fault you for going in the other direction though.

I dis just because my pitching is deep in this 12-team 7×7, and I didn’t even take a pitcher until round 8 with CJ Wilson…
Doing well enough, and Moore is raking tonight for his last start on my team!
My son is three Ray and he puts a tear in my eye, when he says, ” teach me hockey Daddy?”

Ray, Napoli or Lucroy going forward? I know Napoli is notoriously streaky but he just plain sucks right now.

    Ray,
I’m looking at Tony Campana and Elliott Johnson on the ww. I need to improve on AVG and SB in my 5×5 12 team league.
I’d add one of these guys at UTIL. Do you have a preference between these two?
    Thanks

Polka – “teach me hockey Daddy?”

I can see how that brings a tear to your eye. Good for your son.

The Other Jeremy – Even so, Napoli has more homers and more runs scored. He’s also on pace to have his FIRST season of 25 homers, 70 RBI and 80 runs. People expected far too much from Napoli this season as I warned everyone. He’ll be fine. Lucroy has been great, but he can’t keep up this pace meaning Napoli is still likely to outperform him moving forward.

  12. By Ray Flowers on May 23, 2012

Daniel – Campana is not a .300 hitter. Only add him for steals. He’s not a strong UT play in a 12 tm lg. Johnson is a career .221 hitter. I know he is doing well compared to that number right now, but he will not be able to sustain his line drive rate or his BABIP of .379. Bottom line, he’s not going to help you in AVG.

Mister Bauer is sitting out there on my free agent market, and I can stash him as I have three bench spots, however, its a daily league and its a big risk due to the Arizona rotation being so solid especially now with Huddy coming back this weekend. Your thoughts? I realize, this is lots of speculation, I am torn. SP is pretty thin in my league, and I love this kid, however, will he just waste a spot and sit til September or when the next time someone gets injured? GUT?

Montero or Salty ROS in 5×5 roto? Thanks!

  15. By The Other Jeremy on May 23, 2012

Thanks Ray, I actually took your advice in using Napoli as a KEEPER. Granted, I kept him in the last round. But yeah, I did expect a bit more from him. Lucroy has gone deep again today, I guess he’s just hot right now.

  16. By Ray Flowers on May 23, 2012

Baesballer – Bauer has a huge arm. If you can stash him, I’d say go for it. He’ll be up at some point. However, if you only have three bench spots, there’s not a lot of room for adding a guy who isn’t even in the big leagues. IF you have 3 rookie spots or something, I’d say have at it and add Bauer.

  17. By Ray Flowers on May 23, 2012

Mark – Montero — which one?

  18. By mark on May 23, 2012

Ray – Sorry..Miguel Montero or Salty ROS? Don’t you have my roster memorized yet? Thanks as always!

  19. By Ray Flowers on May 23, 2012

Mark – Salty’s got a great power bat, but he also strikes out a lot, never walks, and gets on base at a poor rate. Jesus Montero looks like pretty much the same guy right now, but I would still go with the Mariners backstop of these two. A slightly better skill set is in his possession even at this point of his development.

    Ray, love your work.

Pick one: Adam Dunn, or Mike Moustakas? 12 team H2H need to drop one. I have Ryan Zimmerman at 3rd, and am playing Dunn at DH, and Moose on the bench. Need to pick up a pitcher and drop one of these guys. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks ol’ Guru!

  21. By Ray Flowers on May 24, 2012

Johnny T – If not for the hiccup last year, I dont think there would be an issue here, it would be Dunn over Moose. Of course, last year did happen. Obviously Dunn has put that to rest though with his strong start. Is Moose going to keep up this year? He should better Dunn in AVG, but his power will lag. Given that he’s yet to have a full big league campaign, and we don’t really know how he will adjust to that, I’d lean to keeping Dunn since you have Zimmerman at third who should be fine.

Sure you can’t trade Moose for an SP though instead of just dropping?
