Hi Ray, In a 15-team mixed roto, I’ll have Howard and Utley returning soon so I can spare some power in order to get badly needed R & SBs. We only keep 4, so it’s not really a consideration. Do you think I should target De Aza, Altuve or really stretch and try for Zobrist in exchange for LaHair? Their owners do need some bombs. Thanks!

Jim – If you’re move LaHair, all three options are an improvement. I like Zobrist a lot, and though he has struggled, he’d likely be the only piece you would be able to get if you moved LaHair since both De Aza and Altuve are performing a better level over the past month.

Hey Ray – I’ve got one MI too many in my 10-teamer w/ AVG and OPS: Cano, Andrus, Alexei, Walker. I can’t seem to trade either Walker or Alexei and need to use that roster spot for other things. You okay with dropping one of these guys given the league depth? And if so, who’d you keep and who’d you kick? cheers!

Jon – If you got a 10 teamer, you can make a move, yes. Depends who you are going to get, but since Cano is such a rock, making a move with Walker is possible. If you want to move on from Alexei R, also acceptable.

Is Anthony Rizzo going to be called up by the end of the week? I am in a 9 team mixed roto league (currently in 4th place) and am in need of power. Who would you advise dropping to get Rizzo between Michael Young, BJ Upton and Josh Reddick?

Nick – Holliday is still a borderline elite hitter in my mind. If I was moving him, I’d want a top-20 pitcher in return.

Ryan – I’d rather have Frazier than Rolen. Just don’t think that Rolen has anything left. Ian Stewart looks like he wont need surgery though which will likely lead to a dip in playing time for Valbuena. I’d still go with Rolen, Dusty Baker likes vets.
Go for it an add Karstens.Tons of grounders, but still not likely to repeat ratios of last year.

Scott – Rizzo could be called up this week. Still, if your in a 9 team mixed lg it doesn’t matter. I find it nearly impossible to believe that Rizzo will be a top-10 1B rest of the season. Just can’t buy that at all at this point.

Ray – I can’t make a trade and my team is fairly loaded in a 5×5 12 team league. My worst players are:

Hardy
LaRoche
Plouffe
Carlos Lee (Sitting in a DL spot)
In order to pick up Youkilis I would have to drop TWO of them since Lee is sitting in a DL spot. Should I stay put or pick up Youk? If I pick up Youk which TWO would you drop then? Thanks!

If you’re left with an OF of CarGo, Pence, Trout and Choo, I see no issue with this deal. Weaver was impressive last night so his back appears to be just fine.
Jones/Zimmerman for Weaver/Aramis
This one is also fine to do IMO.
