DraftStreet: One Day FREE Fantasy Contest
July 6th, 2012 | by Ray Flowers |One Day FREE Fantasy Contest – $250 in cash prizes.
If you haven’t heard yet, there’s a new way to play fantasy baseball that turns the season long grind into quick one night leagues. And the best part is that you can win cash every single day. You draft a team for one night and get paid out as soon as the games end that night. DraftStreet.com is at the forefront of this new trend in the fantasy world and is giving us a great promotion: a FREE one-day fantasy league with $250 in prizes exclusively for BaseballGuys fans.
This free contest will be Pick ‘em style drafting. The way Pick ‘Em leagues work is we create 8 tiers of players and each tier will have anywhere from 3 to 10 players in them. All you have to do is select 1 player from each tier.
You can adjust your roster up until the contest starts on Friday July 6th at 7:05 ET at which time your rosters will lock and the Live Scoreboard will be available.

Hey Ray,
I commented your July 4th article and I wasn’t able to get Fieri or Nathan. He sent me a trade of Wainwright and Clippard for my Pence. I could use the pitching and only have 1 closer (Reed.) Should I accept? My hitting is very good. BTW I got the ROS rankings, they look good.

Ray – In a 5×5 12 team league do you like Colvin or Hardy more ROTW for a UTL spot? Hardy is my worst player and there is no trading in my league.
Thanks!

Solid deal. Since you need CL, and your hitting is strong, it’s not a bad deal for you to make, especially if you have only three starting OFs.

Mark – Colvin is hot now, but I’m still gonna say Hardy. The SS actually hasn’t been that bad, other than the low average. donwside is that he’s been awful of late with Colvin obviously more productive. If its short term you gotta go with Colvin, but know its short term cause I’m not a huge fan of Colvin.

Sean – I’d drop Bauer of the two arms, but Berkman ain’t certain to rock it, at least immediately. Bauer may still have value on trade market though.
