Ray – could you justify trading Haren straight up for your boy Vogelsong in a 10-team QS league? I need as many QS as possible in my remaining Games Started (200 limit) and Vogelsong has been much more reliable in that regard this season. What do you think of this? thanks! My staff right now is Verlander, Strasburg, Cliff Lee, J. Zimmerman, Haren, Kennedy. 80 starts left in my season!

Ray, as a Braves fan, I can’t tell you how excited I am that Dempster rejected that trade. I HATE rent-a-players! Especially 35-yr old RAPs in exchange for a 22-yr old who may turn into a solid #3 in our future (who we have control over for the next 4 years). Greinke would look great in a Braves uni, however, that would effectively squash any chances we have of signing Michael Bourne in the off-season since our cheap ownership group can’t afford to pay them both.
Your video triggered a quick keeper question: I know its early but I’m already thinking ahead. At this point, which of the following SPs would you prefer over the others: J Zimmermann (11th round), Morrow (12th – assuming he comes back strong), or Sale (21st – Verducci Effect scares the hell outta me!)
Great info as always!

Callaway – Braves are always in a good shape. That’s a well run organization, the antithesis of the Marlins.
Still got two months to go, so it’s hard to make the call here.
Sale is a must keep in 21st.
Zimmerman in 11th – love that guy too, and solid value in 11th.
Morrrow = health is key. You know I pushed him hard this year, and he delivered. 12th round sounds good to me.
All three could easily be kept: Sale, Zimm, Morrow (cant rule on him until I see the finish).
