Hey Ray – I’m playing catchup in QS and K/9 in 10-tm roto lg. is it worth it to use one of my remaining GS on Straily today or too risky against that LAA lineup? Cheers!

Ray,
What do you think of Kipnis for Middlebrooks?
I would move Michael Young into MI spot and Middlebrooks into CI spot.
This appears to be a trade of Runs/SBs for HR/RBIs… which I could use the help. Do you think Middlebrooks could also help in BA? I have Rios, Revere, and Span as my main SB producers plus Grandy and Alexei can swipe the occasional base.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Jon – Tough matchup, but it’s in OAK and that helps. If you need K/9, I’d give Straily a shot.

Steve – I know Kipnis has been sucking wind for a month now, but I don’t love the addition of Middle. In his last 24 games he has 22 Ks and just 2 BBs. That’s awful. He still has TERRIBLE discipline. Not at all surprising that his AVG is down to .279 last month, and that .295 OBP is pathetic. As I’ve been saying, literally for three months, Middlebrooks is not a .300 hitter. Given his approach, I’d expect his average to recede even further.
