Do you like Brett Anderson or Morrow for the rest of the season? Would you drop TRumbo for Craig or do you think Trumbo will bat better than .202 the next 30 days? Is David Ortiz done for the year?
By Ray Flowers on Aug 27, 2012
Scott – Ortiz could very easily be shut down for the rest of the year cause of multiple setbacks with Achilles.
How on earth if Craig available in your league? 8 teams? On a per at-bat basis Craig has been as effective as any hitter in baseball.
Anderson doesn’t have the ceiling of Morrow, and though both are coming back from injury, I’d put Anderson’s blow up level a wee bit lower. Do you have more of a need for ratios (anderson) or Ks (Morrow)?

Hey Ray, just had my F.F. draft, wanted to get your opinion on how I did. 10 Team League, PPR, 6 Pts per touchdown
QB: Brees, Luck
RB:C Johnson,M Lynch,M Bush, K Smith, B Tate, D Brown
WR: Jennings, D. Thomas, T Smith, N Washington, M Floyd
TE: A Gates
By Ray Flowers on Aug 27, 2012
Vince – I always find it a bit odd, everyone in fantasy football wants a grade for their drafts. Never quite understood that. Rarely get the question in baseball.
Brees is great.
Your RBs have plenty of talent. Smith a health risk. Bush really a handcuff. Tate a flex option at best. Brown, don’t love.
Would have liked to have seen another upper level guy. Thomas/Smith should be big, but it’s a risk since never has been before. Oodles of talent of course.

Hey Ray,
My draft was last night and your guide was a big help. I had the 11th pick in a 12 team .33 PPR (yes odd I know.) I stockpiled RBs. Can I have your opinion.
QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, FLEX, TE, K, D/ST
QB- Matt Ryan, Jake Locker
RB- DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, Steven Jackson, Kevin Smith, Shonne Green, Bernard Scott
WR- Larry Fitzgerald, Jeremy Maclin, Stevie Johnson, Darius Heyward-Bey, Lance Moore
TE- Brent Celek

Ray – I have to make a decision to either drop Morrow or one of the following in a 5×5 12 team league.
Kershaw (obviously no)
Shields
Grienke
Latos
Lester
Peavy
Morrow
My gut feeling is Latos…what are your thoughts?
By Ray Flowers on Aug 27, 2012
Mark – Latos was awful in his last outing, nut over his previous six outings he allowed a total of seven runs. You really want to drop that?
Greinke is the obvious drop cause of his recent work, but I can’t suggest doing that in good conscience. Lester is back on his game. Honestly, I’d drop Morrow. I’m a HUGE fan as you know, but the guy missed a couple of months, so I’d rather have Latos who is healthy. Can’t drop a hitter?
By Ray Flowers on Aug 27, 2012
Morgan – Really dumb ppr.
Team is solid. Looks more like a 10 team lg, which is a pretty good compliment I would think.
By joe on Aug 28, 2012
what top prospects do you think have the best shot of being added to the 40 man roster
By Ray Flowers on Aug 28, 2012
Joe – Doesn’t really matter too much to be honest, at least not for the 2012 season. Bundy, Miller, Hamilton all likely up, but don’t know what roles they will fill (Hamilton, as example, only likely to be used as a pinch runner). Might see arms like Cole and Hultzen called up. Also have to keep in mind that teams are way of big innings totals on young arms, so many of them are not likely to be called up and asked to start at least.
