Fantasy NHL Draft Guide
January 13th, 2013 | by Ray Flowers |
I’ll be honest with you. Though I did put out my top-200 a few weeks back at Rotowire.com, the delay to start the NHL season this year pushed back the release of my Draft Guide so much, I’m doing the Baseball Guide right now (it will be posted right here at BaseballGuys.com on February 1st), that I just didn’t have time to do a complete an NHL Guide this year.
Have no fear though if you are in search of some NHL talk. Michael Clifford of Fantasy Trade 411 did have the time, and he put together a solid guide with plenty of advice in it. It’s all him, I didn’t write a single word of it, but for those of you looking for an NHL fix, here is the 35 page PDF file.
BY THE WAY – HERE IS A LINK TO RAY FLOWERS’ EXPERTS LEAGUE DRAFT REVIEW.

John – There’s a link to my rankings in the article… you can find my thoughts there.
I heard Parise is in the 600′s on Yahoo? Haven’t checked, but if so…
P-M Bouchard might finally be healthy too.

Polka – Brunner certainly has a GREAT spot alongside Datsyuk and Zetterberg. However, it really seems like his value is tied to that spot, and if he loses it does that mean he heads to the 2nd line or 4th? Certainly could pay off, but I would take a shot on both the other guys first, especially since your league isn’t exactly deep (example, my league last night starts 4 C, 4 RW, 4 LW, 6 D). I’d take a shot on Horton.

We ended up with 10 teams, and our old timers whined about c/lw/rw and doing all Forwards like our paper league weve done for years so that just meant I could load up on stronger wing sides..
I’m going to grab Horton with the possibe PP upside hope. Still Vrbata got no respect:)
We start 6 forwards/ 4 D/ 2 Goalies and four bench spots

I grabbed Alfie instead for now..Top line player, with top line mates and minutes and chips in on the PK and will get me SH points too

nope, I didn’t realize Mikko Koivu was available…took him..highest ranked player not taken and is the #1 Center between Parise and Heatley.
