Ray, written or on the weekly video you lay out your skilled reasoning on players. Today an extra, your “Editorial” comment on Mr. Perez’s problems ( “…you guys got million dollar mansions, invite people to your home, don’t be a dumb ass about it.” ) WONDERFUL
Thanks for all your insights.
Should I trade Ryu straight up for Homer Bailey in 12 team mixed? Obviously it looks kind of silly when you look at their stats so far this season but I have a feeling Bailey will be better over rest of the year. Thanks!
Hello Ray….Really could use your opinion on this…I was offered a trade..I trade J.Verlander, M.Holliday, D.Nava for G.Gonzalez and P.Maholm…I already have Darvish, Scherzer, Cueto(DL), DeLaRosa, Kendrick, and Porcello at starter..Wouldnt I be gaining a great hitter (possible keeper next year) and have enough pitching to keep me in top 2 in every catagory?? Thanks so much!
Do you start Andrew Cashner today against Colorado? 5×5 league using QS instead of W. His K/BB has been great last 4 but gave up 4 runs in back to back starts and Colorado tore it up last night. Looking for a reason to lean one way or anther.
Ray, what do you see from Puig ROS? Do you think he hits enough to force his way into the lineup at Ethier’s expense? Dodgers don’t seem like the type of team to trot someone out there just because he makes a ton of money.
Along the same lines, in a dynasty league, would you deal Jose Fernandez to acquire Puig?
Hello Ray….Really could use your opinion on this…I was offered a trade..I trade J.Verlander, M.Holliday, D.Nava for Carlos Gonzalez and P.Maholm…I already have Darvish, Scherzer, Cueto(DL), DeLaRosa, Kendrick, and Porcello at starter..Wouldnt I be gaining a great hitter (possible keeper next year) and have enough pitching to keep me in top 2 in every catagory?? Thanks so much!Sorry…I typed G.Gonzalez..Didnt mean Gio…meant Carlos…THANKS!
Bob – It’s COLE not Coke.
I’m soooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of all these rookie questions. Don’t mean to take it out on you, but I swear EVERY question has gausman, wacha, cingrani, cole, wheeler, puig etc… all these guys we know nothing about, or guys that aren’t even locks to keep jobs.
Cole isn’t a lock to stick. 98 mph fastball should get you more than 6.5 K/9. 3.7 BB/9 is bad. Could be great, but who really knows at this point of his development. Kendrick is least skilled guy you mentioned, but he’s also stable and has a job. Since its your 7th SP, drop Kendrick and add Cole, but know it could go badly.
Ray – glad I read through the Q&A posts before I submitted my question about drafting Appel (sp?) in my 2015 draft. In my shallow H2H points format where SP can dominate points, especially with 2 starts, would you add Porcello by dropping these back of rotation guys I have: Garza, Teheren, Lackey?
I have very good SPs but picked these off waivers for depth. Is Porcello figuring it out with K/BB surge or is he simply having a Liriano moment?
Chris – Lackey and Teheran are pitching so well, really don’t want to drop either even if I don’t think they can keep it up. Garza I like a lot. Since you are in H2H you could literally drop any for suddenly hot Porcello, but he’s not likely to keep up this K surge.
